We invite you to join our team as a specialized instructor, using our evidence-based curriculum and supportive teaching methods to make a lasting impact in the Kootenay Boundary community. ASD Swim Program Details
32-Session Curriculum
The program follows a curated 32-hour curriculum specifically developed for the sensory needs of children with ASD. Each success-based lesson moves from basic water comfort to life-saving swimming competence.
SplashAble App Integration
We utilize the SplashAble app for real-time tracking. This tool provides parents with monthly progress reports and live milestone updates, ensuring transparency and data-driven instruction.
Collaborative Instruction
Our dual-instructor approach pairs certified staff with familiar caregivers using video modeling. This builds an immediate bridge of trust, reducing anxiety and maximizing retention for every student.
Instructor Requirements
✓ Previous experience in competitive swimming or swim instruction
✓ Genuine interest and empathy for children with unique learning needs
✓ High levels of patience and an adaptive communication style
✓ Consistency to fulfill our 32-session program schedule (4-8 months)
✓ Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certifications
✓ Completion of the Foundation's specialized ASD curriculum training
Training & Support

With ongoing mentorship and access to the SplashAble app for milestone tracking, you’ll have a supportive foundation to help every child thrive safely and effectively in the water.
